Most of infections in the
childhood and infancy is presented by rashes of different types , shapes ,
sizes and characters . From these rashes are :
1-Macules :
Macules are pink flat areas which
blanch on pressure , it presents in many
types of infections as Measles , Mumps , Rubella , Scarlet fever , Infection
mononucleosis , Typhoid fever , Erythema infectiosum , Enteroviral infections
and Kawasaki disease . It also present in many of the Rheumatic disorders as
Rheumatoid arthritis , Systemic lupus erythematosis and dermatmyositis . We can
find macules also in the rashes resulting from intake of drugs , sweat rash and
urticarial rash .
2-papules :
Unlike macules papules are
different in being raised lesions but it also blanches on pressure . Usually
the macules and the papules are different to be differentiated clinically or by
